Sharran Sanchez was born August 4, 1955 to Pete and Wanda Jones in Colorado Springs Colorado. Sharran was joined in union to Joe Reeser in 1978 and leaves behind 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Sherrel, Jody, and Sara Reeser and Charley and Nate Reeser.
Sharran was a nurse from the time she knew what a nurse was. Sharran became a candy striper when she was 13 and delivered her first baby in the African bush as a 16 year old young lady. Her parents often commented, “Sharran doesn’t bleed blood, she bleeds nurse”. She went to Amarillo College where she received her RN. She was very community minded and was instrumental in beginning a Lamaze birthing classes as well as hospice program for the Clayton community. She cared greatly for all people of all ages from birth to death and everything in between. After retirement in 1997 Sharran refocused her efforts into her sewing, needlepoint, and gardening. She enjoyed making baby blankets for friends and family or whoever wanted one.
Sharran married Dan Sanchez in 2006. Dan took very good care of Sharran and loved her immensely to the day she passed peacefully in her sleep. Sharran is no longer in pain or hurting as she has been reunited with her sister and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sharran is preceded in death by one sister Sherrel Anne Jones in 1969. She is survived by her husband Dan Sanchez, 2 daughters: Sherrel and Sara Reeser, 1 son; Jody Reeser and his 2 children Charley and Nate Reeser. Her parents Pete and Wanda Jones, a sister Shelba Gorham-Bell and her husband Chuck of Dallas, and a brother Tom Jones and his wife Sonja and their 2 children of Las Cruces NM. Kids in the community she thought of as her own: Curtis Skaggs and his wife Toni, Korey Beckner and his wife Shawnna, Tanner Beckner, and Britney Beckner and her son Bo.
Sharran was a free spirit and wore her heart on her sleeve, she truly cared for people. Sharran brought us joy and we loved her well. She was not ours but for a short time.
