Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the Des Moines School Gymnasium with Ruth Henderson and Dale DeRaad officiating. Burial followed in the Des Moines Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Anna Brown was born on July 7, 1925 in Guy, New Mexico to Alzo Frank Willett and Bessie (Cooper) Willett. A lifelong resident of the Des Moines area, Anna married John Tom Brown on February 26, 1949 in Raton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1993. Anna spent most of her life running the ranch with her husband as well as teaching, driving a school bus route and a rural mail route. Anna was a member of the Cow Bells and the Garden Club. In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by a daughter; Brenda Ann Christy on January 1, 2012.

2 DAUGHTERS: Debbie Marcucci and her husband Rick of Des Moines, New Mexico and Linda Paralez of Paulsboro, Washington.

1 SON: Robert John Brown and his wife Gail of Des Moines, New Mexico.

1 SON-IN-LAW: Rev William "Bill" Christy of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Wynona Arnett of Trinidad, Colorado.

7 Grandchildren: Beverly Eddy and her husband Kevin, Annetta Martinez and her husband Roy, Christina Platero and her husband Murl, Avery Christy and his wife Kristen, Sabrina Shipp and her husband Jared, Anna Marcucci and Rikky Marcucci.

Niece & Nephew: Kent Welch and his wife Carol and Suzanne Bennefield and her husband Ted.

Several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
