Annie Isabelle (Montoya) Sanchez, age 84, died on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joseph Baltz as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Annie Isabelle (Montoya) Sanchez was born on March 21, 1938, in Clayton, New Mexico to Marcos Montoya and Aurelia (Lovato) Montoya. Annie married Johnny Sanchez on April 21, 1954, in Clayton, New Mexico. First and foremost, in Annie's life was her faith, she was a very strong catholic and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton all of her life. Annie worked all of her life and always had at least one job, sometimes more than one at a time. She worked for the Sunset Motel for 25 years and then for the Clayton School Cafeteria for 25 years where she retired. After she retired, she continued to work at the nursing home, for Poole Chemical and doing several other jobs as well. Annie loved her family and always did her best to attend all family gatherings and birthdays, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos also. Annie took very good care of her husband Johnny for 68 years. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, by 5 sisters, Jennie Bazaldua, Mary Maes, Josie Taylor, Martha CdeBaca and Alicia Montoya, by 2 brothers, Severo Montoya and Abran Montoya and a son-in-law, Larry Vialpando

SURVIVORS:

HUSBAND: Johnny Sanchez of Clayton, New Mexico.

4 CHILDREN: Janet Vialpando, Johnny Ray Sanchez and his wife Lisa and Annette Sisneros and her husband Apple all of Clayton, New Mexico and Debra Montoya of Arcadia, Arizona.

A nephew Joseph CdeBaca who was raised with her like a brother.

Her best friend Stephanie Cruz who was like a daughter and a sister to her.

10 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
