Betty June Hancock, age 87, died Friday, July 24, 2015, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 30 at the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Kyle Bueermann, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Betty June Hancock was born on September 6, 1927 in Union County, New Mexico to William Silas Smart and Florence Irene Rickett. She married Burnett Taft Hancock on November 20, 1951 in Raton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1994. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two children as infants, Robert Boyd Hancock and Glorya Suzan Hancock.

1 DAUGHTER: Anette Calvillo & her husband Manuel of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Richard Hancock of Moriarty, New Mexico.

3 GRANDDAUGHTERS: Jeanette Donald and her husband Michael of San Antonio, Texas, Becky May of Boise City, Oklahoma and Frances Ottinger and her husband Kevin of Dumas, Texas.

3 GREAT-GRANDSONS: Michael Donald, II, Lance Ottinger and Calvin Ottinger.

1 BROTHER: Buddy Smart of Clayton, New Mexico.
