Bobby D. Green, Sr., age 70, died on Friday, December 10, 2010 at his home near Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday, December 15 at the Mexhoma Church in Mexhoma, Oklahoma with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, officiating. Burial followed in the Mexhoma Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Bobby D. Green, Sr. was born on October 7, 1940 in Mexhoma, Oklahoma to Robert O. Green and Mary Katherine (Odorizzi) Green. He attended school through the 8th grade in Wheeless, Oklahoma, then went to Boise City High School through the 11th grade and then moved to Clayton, New Mexico where he graduated in 1958. Bobby worked on road construction for the next three years working on the Raton and Texline roads. He joined the Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Ord, California and served two terms. He married Barbara L. (Bates) Green on March 18, 1961 in Clayton, New Mexico. Bobby worked for his father-in-law Oren T. Bates on the ranch for two years before going to work for Cox Farm Equipment of Clayton for the next seven years as a mechanic and a diesel pump and hydraulic tech. He went to school in Amarillo and in Tifton, Georgia for diesel pump and hydraulic training. They moved to the country in 1970 and began farming and ranching and continued to do mechanic work on the side for a number of years, and it was always a family joint effort. Bobby was loved by many and always made friends easily wherever he was. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Green, his mother-in-law, Vivian Bates and his father-in-law, Oren T. Bates.

WIFE: Barbara Green of Clayton, New Mexico.

MOTHER: Mary Katherine Green of LaCrosse, Kansas.

2 SONS: Bobby D. Green, Jr. And his wife Rhonda and Brad R. Green and his wife Jan all of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 GRANDCHILDREN: Krystal Alvidrez and her husband Victor, Stryker Dale Green, Kayla Grice and her husband John, Sonnie Sowers and her husband Zack and Kaycie Green.

3 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Olivia Alvidrez, Cody Grice and Lincoln Sowers.

5 SISTERS: Arlene Warner and her husband Terry of LaCrosse, Kansas, Mary Ann Foreman and her husband Tommy of Phoenix, Arizona, Karen Conner and her husband Butch of Amarillo, Texas, Kathy Thrash and her husband Bruce of Felt, Oklahoma and Cheryl Terry and her husband Greg of Dalhart, Texas.

1 BROTHER: Earl Ray Green and his wife Deanna of Black Forrest, Colorado.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Tommy W. Bates, Sr. And his wife Dora Lee of Whitney, Nebraska.
