Bonnie Shugart, age 90, died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Dalhart, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.

Bonnie Shugart was born on October 10, 1920 in Soper, Oklahoma to Jim Hall Jones and Maude (Alexander) Jones. She married Jesse L. Shugart on September 13, 1941 in Pampa, Texas and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2004. They lived in the Amarillo, Texas area for several years before moving to Gladstone, New Mexico in 1956 where they lived and ranched. Bonnie remained at their home in Gladstone after Jesse died until 2008 when she moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico to be closer to her daughter. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by a son; Travis Michael Shugart on January 15, 1998 and by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

1 DAUGHTER: Teresa Brown and her husband Gale of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

1 SON: Dennis Shugart and his wife Deana of Dalhart, Texas.

1 DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Susan Watters Shugart of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

5 GRANDCHILDREN: Troy Brown and his wife Kathy of Clinton, Oklahoma, Michael Shugart, Justin Shugart and his wife Kelly all of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tanner Shugart and his wife Jacqueline of Dalhart, Texas and Kori Royal and her husband Todd of Amarillo, Texas.

11 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN

2 SISTERS: Nadine Oldham and Billy Smith and her husband Vaughn all of Amarillo, Texas.

1 BROTHER: Mace Jones of Borger, Texas.

1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Goldie Jones of Bloomfield, New Mexico.

MEMORIALS: The family suggests that memorials be made in Bonnie's Memory to the New Mexico Boys Ranch or to the First Baptist Church in Clayton.
