Brenda Ann Christy, age 5 3, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Don R. Wood Auditorium Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, officiating. Burial followed in the Des Moines Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Brenda Ann (Brown) Christy was born on February 24, 1958 in Raton, New Mexico to John Brown and Anna (Willet) Brown. She graduated from Des Moines High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico for one semester. Brenda married Rev. William "Bill" Christy on December 18, 1976 at the Brown residence in Des Moines, New Mexico. They lived in Holland for two years and then in Altos, Oklahoma for two years while Bill was in the Air Force. They moved to Albuquerque for a short time and then Brenda's father was diagnosed with cancer so they moved to Des Moines to help with him and later moved to Clayton. Brenda worked at Capulin Volcano for a summer and later worked as an operations Supervisor at the First National Bank of New Mexico in Clayton for several years. Brenda was preceded in death by her father John Brown.

HUSBAND: Rev. William "Bill" Christy of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 DAUGHTER: Sabrina Shipp and her husband Jared of Amarillo, Texas.

1 SON: Avery Christy and his wife Kristen of Clayton, New Mexico.

HER MOTHER: Anna Brown of Des Moines, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Bobby Brown and his wife Gail of Des Moines, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS: Debbie Marcucci and her husband Rick of Des Moines, New Mexico and Linda Paralez of Paulsboro, Washington.

MOTHER & FATHER-IN-LAW: June & Bill Christy of Socorro, New Mexico.

3 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Linda Christy Baird and her husband Bruce of Moriarty, New Mexico, Jeanette Miller and her husband Nelson of Alabama and Kathy Nelson and her husband John of Dallas, Texas.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Robert Christy and his wife Debbie of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

3 AUNTS & UNCLES: Nona Arnett of Trinidad, Colorado, Bud Brown and his wife Rose of Des Moines, New Mexico and George Hancock and his wife Lanora of Amarillo, Texas.

Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
