Burla Austin, age 58, died on April 15, 2020 at her home in Texline, Texas.

A private burial in the Texline Cemetery was held. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Burla Austin was born on August 24, 1961 in Clayton, New Mexico to Archie Victor "Pete" Crumpton and Vera Leola (Webster) Crumpton. Burla married Rick Austin on July 24, 2001 in Cimarron, New Mexico. Burla loved to crochet and quilt, she made numerous afghans and throws for the nursing home residents and she made baby blankets for her grandchildren. She also loved to work in her yard. Burla was preceded in death by her parents.

2 DAUGHTERS: Christina Pogue and her husband Michael of Amarillo, Texas and Erika Badillo and her husband Erik of Dalhart, Texas.

1 SISTER: Rhonda Holman and her husband Johnny of Sedan, New Mexico.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Quenten Lopez and his wife Brianna of Wells, Nevada, Cesar Martinez and his wife Bri and Trevor Pogue and his wife Sadie all of Amarillo, Texas, Nicolete Martinez of Clayton, New Mexico and Estrella Badillo and Exavier Badillo both of Dalhart, Texas.

6 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
