Obituary

Carol A. (Dye) Heuchemer, age 72, died on August 3, 2026, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Clayton Gospel Church in nClayton, New Mexico with Pastor Mike Phipps, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Carol Anne (Dye) Heuchemer was born on October 26, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado to Byron Dye and Elizabeth (Sellers) Dye. She attended school in Pueblo and graduated from Pueblo Central High School in 1972. Carol married Robert Paul “Bob” Heuchemer on August 11, 1973 in Pueblo, Colorado. Bob served in the US Air force and they lived in several places including Turkey, Germany and England before he retired after 20 years. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Bob on January 4, 2020, by her parents, by a sister, Judy Knight and a brother Don Dye, by her mother and father-in-law, Earl and Shirley Heuchemer, by 2 brothers-in-law, Skip Knight and Jim Vigil.

SURVIVORS:

2 DAUGHTERS: Laura Heuchemer and Chrystal Jonas both of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 GRANDCHILDREN: Dylon Jonas and Char of Austin, Texas and Cheyanne Folk and Justice of Greeley, Colorado.

2 BROTHERS: Wayne Dye of Sitka, Alaska and Larry Dye and Judy of Tremonton, Utah.

1 SISTER: Kay Vigil and Jose of Pueblo, Colorado.

3 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Sharon Dye of Pueblo, Colorado, Diane Marks and Peter of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Sandra Obrin and John of Pueblo, Colorado.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Dane Heuchemer and Kelly of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
