Carolyn Wright, age 75, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Jay Jones, pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Carolyn Wright was born on March 12, 1936 in Clovis, New Mexico to Earl Osborn and Iree (Hancock) Osborn. She graduated from Logan High School and later married Billy Joe Wright on September 19, 1954 in Logan, New Mexico. Carolyn worked for several years at the Farmers and Stockmans Bank in Clayton and for the Texline State Bank in Texline, Texas. She also served as the Union County Treasurer for twelve years. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son; Billy Craig Wright on June 26, 1982.

HUSBAND: Billy Joe Wright of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 DAUGHTER: Shannon Durbin and her husband Paul of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Gary Lee Wright and his wife Thelma of Seneca, New Mexico.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Casey Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shawna Wright of Brownwood, Texas, Josh Durbin and Matt Durbin both of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Lola Mae Hutchins of Portales, New Mexico.

1 NIECE: Kay Jilek.

1 NEPHEW: Dennis Hutchins.
