Chuck Wiggins AGE 81, died Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Springer Methodist Church in Springer, New Mexico with Rev. Jay Jones, pastor of the Cimarron Methodist Church in Cimarron, New Mexico officiating. Burial will follow in the Angel Fire State Veterans Cemetery in Angel Fire, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Chuck Wiggins was born on August 9, 1943, in Chanute, Kansas to Vaughn E. Wiggins and Edna (Glenndenning) Wiggins. He grew up in McPherson, Kansas where he and attended High School and College and played football. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Stealers but then shortly after was drafted by the US Army to serve in Vietnam. Later he attended Kansas State where he earned his master's degree. He went out west to cowboy and worked on several large ranches throughout Nevada, Oregon, Northern California, Utah, Wyoming and Arizona. He worked on the ZX Ranch, YP Ranch, IL Ranch, Deseret Land and Livestock, Sands Ranch and the XX Ranch. Chuck married Norane (Bakka) Wiggins on March 3, 1983, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chuck's first job as a pastor and teacher was in Christmas Valley, Oregon. He later would serve as a pastor in Felt, Oklahoma, at the Cowboy Church in Dalhart, Texas and the Springer Methodist Church in Springer, New Mexico. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister, Judith Potter and by a nephew, Christopher Shepard.

5 CHILDREN: Matthew Wiggins and his wife Margie of Loveland, Colorado, Amy Allmon and her husband Duane of McPherson, Kansas, A. J. Wiggins of Marquette, Kansas, Sgt. Tyler Wiggins and his wife Sarah of Ft. Liberty, North Carolina and Vaughn Wiggins of Clayton, New Mexico.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Preston George and Coleman George both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Carson George of McPherson, Kansas and Gideon Wiggins, Gladys Wiggins and McCoy Vicat all of Ft. Liberty, North Carolina.

2 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Crixus George of McPherson, Kansas and Cain George of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
