Cory Stuart McClure, age 44, died on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Clayton Memorial Cemetery.

Cory Stuart McClure was born on May 9, 1980, in Borger, Texas to Joel A. "Jake" McClure and Earla K. (Stuart) McClure. Cory's journey in the automotive world began at a young age. Sweeping floors, mopping, and dusting shelves in his family's business, he grew up surrounded by the warmth of family dedication. He followed in the family's footsteps, developing a passion for both the industry and the people who made it all possible. Working side-by-side with loved ones each day, Cory's commitment to the family business became one of his greatest joys. Cory attended Clayton public school's kindergarten through 12th grade. He was a 1998 graduate from Clayton High School. A talented mechanic and an exceptional teacher of his trade. Cory had a good eye; he could align a toe-in of a vehicle by sight as well as shoot a prairie dog in the head at 100 yards with open sights 22lr.  He also had tremendous natural abilities when horseback. In life, our legacy is often reflected in the lives we touch and the love we leave behind. Cory's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Cory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Raymond Isom Stuart and Paulene (McKinney) Stuart, an uncle, Terry Kim Stuart and 2 cousins, Arnes Moore and Terry Don Stuart and an Aunt Janita Karen McClure. Cory will forever be remembered for his passion for his work, his natural talents, and his genuine kindness.

HIS PARENTS: Jake & Earla McClure of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Casey McClure and his kids Macy McClure & Kaylee McClure all of New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Tierah Aragon and her daughter Madison Aragon of Dallas, Texas.

1 AUNT: Lovera Short (Ronnie) of Amarillo, Texas.

1 UNCLE: Gary Stuart (Pam) of Nunn, Colorado.

Paternal Grandparents: Bob & Juanita McClure of Clayton, New Mexico.

Cousins: Heather Wheeler (Patrick), Misty Covey (Travis), Todd Short (Chandra), Kelly George (Dan), Shane Stuart (Gayrine), Shelley Suits (Garey) and Lace Norden (Matt).

And his former mother & father in-law: Patti and Lewie Baker of Clayton, New Mexico.
