Cruzita S. Segura, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held at the 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Clayton Gospel Church with Pastor Mike Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Cruzita (Lopez) Segura was born on August 11, 1943, in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Herman Lopez, Sr. And Angelita (Chavez) Lopez. Cruzita married Joe Agapito Segura on April 10, 1960, in Pueblo, Colorado and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2020. Cruzita worked for the Hi Ho Café as a cook and dishwasher then at the Best Western Kokopelli where she was the laundry supervisor until she retired in 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, Cruzita was preceded in death by 1 son, Jesse Segura and his wife Diana Segura, 2 brothers, Manuel Lopez and Jesusito Lopez and 3 sisters, Teresa Fernandez, Mary Gallegos and Connie Roybal and by 1 brother-in-law, Louie Roybal.

5 DAUGHTERS: Elizabeth Segura Ortiz and her husband Antonio of Clayton, New Mexico, Martha Segura Talley and her husband Robert of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Susie Segura Hughes and her husband William of Purdy, Missouri, Ruth Segura Ellenburg and her husband Woodrow of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Pauline Segura Patterson and her husband Christopher of Alto, New Mexico.
2 SONS: David Segura and his wife Rhonda of Maryland and Daniel Segura of Clayton, New Mexico.
26 GRANDCHILDREN, 16 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
3 SISTERS: Sylvia Baca and her husband Richard of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Alicia Sanchez and Erma Alcorta and her husband William all of Lovington, New Mexico.
3 BROTHERS: Herman Lopez, Jr. And his wife Yvonne of Dallas, Texas, Tony Lopez and his wife Margie of Castle Rock, Colorado and Willie Lopez and his wife Olivia of Pueblo, Colorado.
And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
