Dahyabhai Sitaram Bhakta was born on March 31, 1933 in a quaint village in India to Sitaram Kanji Bhakta and Rupa Sitaram (Jivan) Bhakta. He was only nineteen years old when he married the love of his life and started their journey through graduation, and his first job, working at a cotton gin. His devotion and diligence led him to the top and eventually he became a partner of the same firm. He used his experience to move on to bigger enterprises and helped his two sons start their own businesses. He opened a mobile library, and became a trustee of many social services and charities in India helping the underprivileged to receive medical care as well as helping students with their studies. In the year 2000, he traveled to the United States and spent his retired time traveling between his two homes in Fort Hancock, Texas and Clayton, New Mexico, where his sons live. On the 24th of August, 2011, in Clayton, New Mexico, at the age of 78, Dahyabhai passed away, though all of his efforts in life will be cherished by his surviving family which include his loving wife, two sons, one daughter, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and eight grandchildren. They hope to carry on the honesty, peace, and humility that Dahyabhai Sitaram Bhakta represented throughout his life.
