David E. Turner, Jr, age 81, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Amarillo, Texas.

Private family burial was held at the McCune Cemetery on Monday, February 18, 2013. A dinner for friends and family in honor of David's life was held at the McCune Community Center at 1:00 p.m. following the burial.

David E. Turner, Jr. was born on April 15, 1931 in Afton, Oklahoma to David E. Turner, Sr. And Leola (Steaver) Turner. He served in the United States Air Force. David married Thelma Jean (Misner) Turner in 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada and she preceded him in death on December 21, 1998. David worked as a truck driver for the Standard Oil Company for several years and then later it became The Exxon Corporation where he worked for over thirty years operating stations, training others to operate stations and as a field distributer before he retired in 1987. In addition to his parents and his wife, David was preceded in death by three sisters.

2 DAUGHTERS: Leola Turner and Judy Broersma.

1 STEP-SON: Jeffrey Hulstrom.

3 STEP-DAUGHTERS: Patricia Baker, Paula Inman and Kristi Turner.
