Donald A. Adams was born on May 20, 1933 in Des Moines, New Mexico to Lee Adams and Wanda (Lopez) Adams. A lifelong resident of Union County, Don spent most of his life in the Folsom area. He graduated from Des Moines High School and joined the United States Marine Corps where he spent three years, from 1951 to 1954. When he got out, he worked at a Molybdenum Mine in Climax, Colorado. The past 56 years he spent on the land he loved, the Cross L Ranch, as Manager. He retired in 2011 and until the day he was hospitalized, he fired up his 4-wheelers to watch and experience the sunrise and wildlife retreating into the hills for the day. Donald married Darlene (Rose) Adams on December 31, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico. Don was a loving father, husband, brother, grandad and friend to all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Wanda Adams and one sister, Alice Taylor.
A special thank you to the Miners Colfax Medical Center, in Raton, for their loving care and support.
