Eloise Arrington, age 89, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Littlefield, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Eloise Arrington was born on June 1, 1933, in Grenville, New Mexico to Leonard Howard Jones and Cleo (Barlow) Jones. She grew up on the family farm in the Grenville area and graduated valedictorian of her high school class in Grenville. She went to girl's state while in high school and enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. Eloise married George Arrington on June 28, 1949, in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2005. Eloise worked for JC Penney in Clayton until she retired and then went to work for the Farmers and Stockmans Bank in Clayton until she retired again. She loved to travel and was able to travel all over the country with her children and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Robert Watson and Jarrett Seagroves, 2 brothers, Bill Jones and Glenn Jones, a sister-in-law, Patsy Jones, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Arrington and a son-in-law, Jim Seagroves.

SURVIVORS:

2 DAUGHTERS: Peggy Seagroves of Muleshoe, Texas and Sherry Wiseman and her husband Dewayne of Smyer, Texas.

3 SONS: Ted Arrington and his wife Tami of Dalhart, Texas, Jim Arrington of Clayton, New Mexico and Jack Arrington and his wife Deanna of Fountain, CO.

16 GRANDCHILDREN: Devern Younger (Nicole), René Shawn, Banjamin Seagroves (Jessi), Marty Chacon, Amy Marsh (Floyd), Chris Arrington, Justin Arrington (Michelle), Paul Arrington (Rebecca), James Arrington (Rebecka), LaDonna Trujillo, Shanell Thompson, Vanessa Knapp (Kody Knapp), Samantha Wiseman, Teresa Jourden (Josh), Lisa Wiseman and Randall Wiseman.

32 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Haylee, Weston, Aidyn, Madyson, Megan, Remington, Rhett, Ray, Courtney, Tori, Tejé, Robyn, Tatiana, Holli, William, Patrick, Desiree, Chance, Tyrell, Josh, Susan, Cooper, Colby, Kyla, Kambri, Braylon, Jaela, Joleigh, Jase, Skylar, Emily and Elizabeth.

And numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
