Eunice Franz, age 75, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton with Rev. Jay Jones, pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Eunice Franz was born on October 8, 1936 in Spearman, Texas to E. A. "Dutch" Lester and Lorine (Sanders) Lester. Eunice worked at the old Smithson Drug store in Clayton for a few years. It was while working at the drug store that she met Marvin C. Franz, they started dating and were later united together in marriage on June 9, 1956 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2000. Eunice was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clayton. In addition to her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her father E. A. "Dutch" Lester on December 2, 1984 and by her mother, Lorine (Sanders) Lester on September 6, 1992.

1 SON: Marvin C. Franz, Jr. And his wife Trisha of Amarillo, Texas.

2 GRANDCHILDREN: Morgan Franz and Trey Franz both of Amarillo, Texas.

1 SISTER: Jackie Warden and her husband Larry Amarillo, Texas.

1 BROTHER: Ray Lester and his wife Sue of Amarillo, Texas.
