Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Gene Cruz was born on December 21, 1953 in Clayton, New Mexico to Santiago "Jim" Emanuel Cruz and Mercedes Maria (Padilla) Cruz. A lifelong resident of Clayton, New Mexico. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and by 2 sisters; Elsie Martinez on July 19, 2015 and Margie Cruz on January 6, 2018.

1 DAUGHTER: Marisa Cruz of Clovis, New Mexico.
