George DeHerrera, age 78, died on Friday, January 10, 2025, at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.

Memorial Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, followed by Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Cremation arrrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

George DeHerrera was born on October 18, 1946, in Clayton, New Mexico to Abenicio DeHerrera and Juanita (Ortiz) DeHerrera. George lived most of his life in Clayton and most recently was working as a painter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Semonita (Roybal) DeHerrera, a daughter, Juanita Garrett, a granddaughter, Monica DeHerrea, 2 brothers, Gilbert Ortiz and Alfred DeHerrera and 2 sisters, Bertha Ojeda and Nora Lucero.

SURVIVORS:

1 DAUGHTER: Georgia DeHerrera of Amarillo, Texas.

2 SONS: Don Oldham of Tucumcari, New Mexico and Chico DeHerrera of Dayton, Ohio.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Felisha, Orlando, Kevin and Steven.

3 BROTHERS: Lewis DeHerrera, Joe DeHerrera and Michael DeHerrera all of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 SISTERS: Viola Gonzales and Ruby Kocer both of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Frances Naranjo of Clayton, New Mexico.
