Obituary

Glenn Mac Trujillo, age 63, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 1, 2019 and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Jason Pettigrew as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Glenn Mac Trujillo was born on March 15, 1956 in Clayton, New Mexico to his parents Martha and Jesse. He grew up with his siblings, Mackie, Albert, Linda, Clyde, and Glenna. He fell in love with and married Katrina Gutierrez in 1985. They moved to Dumas, where Glenn began his lifelong career at Valero Energy, beginning by painting and advancing to specialized mechanics. He was an active member of AFL-CIO, serving as an officer and advocating for workers' rights. When not working, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, his children; Boomer, Kamarine, and Colby, and daughter-in-law Kaitlyn. He also spent time volunteering with the Knights of Columbus and the Moore County Youth Football League as a coach, winning two championships. He retired in 2018 and moved to Amarillo. For Glenn, happiness was eating with his family (especially Hatch Green Chile on homemade tortillas), rooting for the LA Raiders and Boston Celtics, listening to Santana while playing online poker, relaxing with his dogs (Nuts, Baby, Raider, and grandpuppies), and paying all his debts. Heaven has all these things, and maybe some Coors Light and Marlboros too. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 brothers, Mackie "Buffalo" Valdez and Clyde R. Trujillo and by a sister, Adella Trujillo. You may send flowers to Hass Funeral Home at 324 Main St., Clayton, New Mexico 88415. But even better would be to eat and drink your favorite things with your loved ones in honor of him and the Trujillos.
