Gwyn Schroeder, age 85, died Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 9, at the Church of Christ in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Sam Collins, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Gwyn (Hawthorn) Schroeder was born on February 5, 1933 in Rocky, Oklahoma to Jeff Hawthorn and Jewel (Bachelor) Hawthorn. She married Thomas Andrew Schroeder on November 5, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2017. They lived in California for fifteen years and then moved to Oregon where they lived until Thomas retired. After he retired in 1997 they moved to Clayton, New Mexico. Gwyn was an active member of the Clayton Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, Gwyn was preceded in death by a grandson; Jeffrey Schroeder and a daughter-in-law; Cheryl Schroeder.

2 SONS: Thomas Schroeder and his wife Patty of Milton-Freewater, Oregon and Ricky Dean Schroeder of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 GRANDCHILDREN: Michael Schroeder of Oregon and Christopher Schroeder and Kevin Schroeder both of Washington.

1 SISTER: Lucy Brown of Palm Springs, California.

1 BROTHER: Max Hawthorn and his wife Merna of Anza, California.

2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Dorothy Hight of California and Ada Filutze and her husband Jim of New York.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Andrew Schroeder and his wife Betty of California.

And several nieces and nephews.
