Harold Allen Laughter, Jr. Age 76, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Hass Funeral Home in Clayton, New Mexico. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.

Harold Allen Laughter, Jr. Was born on September 3, 1948, in Clayton, New Mexico to Harold Allen Laughter, Sr. And Lenore Olive (Spriggs) Laughter. Allen was a lifelong resident of the Clayton area, he was a member of the Union County Sheriffs Reserve, a life member of the VFW Post 3271 in Clayton, A life member of the DAV and a member of the Dalhart LDS Church. Allen served six years in the US Army from 1968 to 1974 and served 15 months in Vietnam. Additionally, he served one year in the Army National Guard from 1975 to 1976 then he enlisted in the US Army again in 1979 and was honorably discharged in 1983. Allen worked as a detention officer for the Clayton Police Department and for the Union County Sheriff's Department.  Preceded in death by his father, Harold Allen Laughter, Sr. On January 19, 2009, by his mother, Lenore Olive (Spriggs) Laughter Foster on November 28, 2022, a Cousin Karl Spriggs on October 6, 2021.

BROTHER: Jerry Don Laughter and his fiancé Linda Sandusky.

2 SISTERS: Willie Jean Schnitz and Darlene Latrease Sellers and her husband Kim

COUSINS: Bill Spriggs and Leon and Sherry Miller.

UNCLE: Elmer Laughter and his wife Helen.

2 AUNTS: Cleona Spriggs and Edna Spriggs.
