Herbert P. "Herbie" Butt, age 53, died on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Herbert P. "Herbie" Butt was born on July 29, 1964 in Clayton, New Mexico to John Page Butt and Cyvilla (Garst) Butt. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1982 and moved to Fort Worth where he attended vocational college for a couple of years. He then returned to Clayton for a few years and then moved to Albuquerque where he lived for the last 25 years. Herbie worked as an electrician and installed commercial fire alarms and fire sprinkler systems all over the state of New Mexico. He loved to fly airplanes and received flight instruction and soloed once but never found the time to finish getting his license. Herbie was preceded in death by his father on September 13, 1972, his mother on December 6, 1994, a brother John F. Butt on August 3, 1991, and a niece Tawnya Butt in February of 1974.
