Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery.

James E. Shrock was born on June 5, 1928 in a dug out near Seneca, New Mexico to Henry A. Shrock and Mary Esther (Carroll) Shrock. James married Marlene (Dever) Shrock on July 11, 1949 in Portales, New Mexico. He graduated from Thermo King Refrigeration School in Dallas, Texas in 1965 and in 1972 he received the highest award in North America for Diesel Mechanics. They returned to Clayton in 1974. James worked in sales and service of natural gas irrigation engines for 56 years and services the Clayton school buses for 26 years. James had a wonderful sense of humor all the way to the end of his life that will be missed greatly by all of his family and friends. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Harley Shrock, William Shrock and Von A. Shrock, 2 sisters; Violeta June Shrock and Verdena Fern Massey, and by a great-grandson; Baby Sanchez

WIFE: Marlene Shrock of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 DAUGHTERS: Kaye Barnes and her husband Rusty of Clovis, New Mexico, Jamie Edwards and her husband Jim of Electra, Texas and Charlotte Shrock of Guymon, Oklahoma.

9 GRANDCHILDREN: K'Aun Wild, D'Ann Martindell, Kitza Barnes, Kevin Holmes, Jason Holmes, Layne Holmes, Ricky Myers, Michael Myers and Justin Spriggs.

18 Great-Grandchildren

1 SISTER: Ellafay Moore of Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Beasley - his miniature horse and Hankie - his donkey.
