Jerrel Hine, age 86, died on Thursday April 16, 2020 in Clayton, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Jerrel Hine was born on February 19, 1934 in Channing, Texas to Roger Grady Hine and Nannie Bell (Robinson) Hine. He worked most of his life as a rancher and a truck driver in northern New Mexico. Jerrel loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he was loved by everyone that knew him. In addition to his parents, Jerrel was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Ocie E. Hood on July 19, 1990 and Betty Newton on August 5, 2006 and by a brother; Roger Grady Hine, Jr. On April 3, 2013.

1 DAUGHTER: Wendy Barber of Roswell, New Mexico.

3 GRANDCHILDREN: Jackie Czosnowski, Nichelle Hellums and her husband Wayne and Gaige Barber all of Roswell, New Mexico.

2 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Lane Hellums and Landon Hellums both of Roswell, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Robert Hine and his wife Roberta of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
