Joe N. Marquez, age 60, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joseph Baltz as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Marquez Cemetery on the Marquez Ranch. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Joe N. Marquez was born on December 31, 1961, in Clayton, New Mexico to Joe T. Marquez and Nellie S. (Herrera) Marquez. He grew up in Des Moines, New Mexico and graduated from Des Moines High School. Joe married Carol (McDonald) Marquez on June 16, 1979, in Borger, Texas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Texas for 23 years and then for the State of New Mexico and later for Union County. Joe loved his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he loved his horses and cows. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents and by 2 brothers-in-law.

WIFE: Carol Marquez of Des Moines, New Mexico.
FATHER: Joe T. Marquez of Des Moines, New Mexico.
3 SONS: Billy Joe Marquez and his wife Christi of Fritch, Texas, Mark Marquez and his wife Ashley of Borger, Texas and Aaron Marquez of Des Moines, New Mexico.
5 GRANDCHILDREN: Kati Jo Marquez, Olivia Marquez, Tyler Wright, Alissa Marquez and Caden Marquez.
2 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Scarlet Grace Wright and Oliver Jonas Wright.
5 BROTHERS: Chris Marquez and his wife Krickett and Jesse Marquez and his wife Donna all of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Tim Marquez and his wife Melissa of Mora, New Mexico, Mike Marquez and his wife Denise of Zuni, New Mexico and Ray Marquez and his wife Rheeannon of Raton, New Mexico.
A special Aunt: Mary Gayton of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Johnny McDonald of Borger, Texas.
1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Tammy McDonald of Borger, Texas.
