John Louis Beckman age 56, died Monday, September 5, 2011, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services were held at 1:00 PM Central Time on Thursday, September 8th 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dalhart, Texas with Deacon Ron Hein, officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

John Louis Beckman was born on February 3, 1955 in Hereford, Texas to Louis Charles Beckman and Dolores (Phillipp) Beckman. He attended school in Hartley, Texas to the 3rd grade when his family returned to Hereford where he attended school until moving to Texline where he graduated in 1973. John married Cheryl (Gibbs) Beckman on February 28, 1976 in Texline, Texas. John enjoyed playing golf and farmed in the Perico area for 10 years and worked for the Dallam County Road Department for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his father on October 8, 2006.

MOTHER: Dolores Beckman of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Brian Louis Beckman of Dallas, Texas.

1 DAUGHTER: Brittan Morales and her husband Victor of McKinney, Texas.

1 GRANDDAUGHTER: Zoey Morales of McKinney, Texas.

1 BROTHER: Joe Beckman of Oak Harbor, Washington.

4 SISTERS: Renee Hendrick and her husband Gene of Canyon, Texas, Michelle Brisendine and her husband Mickey of Hereford, Texas and Stephanie Hilbish and her husband Tom and Jackie Voit and her husband Andy all of Amarillo, Texas.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Mike Gibbs and his wife Linda of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Bonnie Cunico and her husband Karl of Raton, New Mexico.

And several nieces and nephews.
