John Vicente "J.V." Ulibarri, age 78, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary was recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 29, by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Glenn Jones, Celebrant. Burial followed in the Des Moines Catholic Cemetery in Des Moines, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

John Vicente "J.V." Ulibarri was born on February 15, 1933 in Clayton, New Mexico to Jose Felipe Ulibarri and Natividad (Del Valle) Ulibarri. He graduated from Farley High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. J. V. was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, and the Knight of Columbus. He was a life member of the VFW in Raton, New Mexico. In addition to his parents, J. V. Was preceded in death by his wife Mollie (Muniz) Ulibarri and by two brothers; Joe Ulibarri and George Ulibarri.

COMPANION: Mary Esther Garcia of Clayton, New Mexico.

4 SISTERS: Joann Sandoval of Amarillo, Texas, Lupe Montoya and her husband Abie of Clayton, New Mexico, Patsy Padilla and her husband Ralph of Dalhart, Texas and Jane Valdez and her husband Pete of Amarillo, Texas.

2 BROTHERS: Andrew Ulibarri and his wife Rose of Raton, New Mexico and Johnny Del Valle and his wife Sandra of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

2 STEP-DAUGHTERS: Hope Montoya and her husband Jim of Denver, Colorado and Gloria Satropulis and her husband Ronnie of Fort Worth, Texas.

4 STEP-SONS: Sammie Muniz and his wife Linda and Gino Muniz all of Des Moines, New Mexico and Sunny Muniz and David Muniz both of Denver, Colorado.

And several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
