John Lask, age 79, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place and John will be laid to rest in Michigan at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

John Lask was born on February 18, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan to Rocco Lask and Anna (Lange) Lask. He grew up in Detroit Michigan. John loved to dance, and he danced on the Mickey Shorr Dance Party for a Detroit radio station. He loved cars and motorcycles and racing. He worked as an automotive mechanic most of his life. John loved any good food, and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the country. John married Penny (Nicolet) Lask in 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. John was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Bill Lask and a sister Mary Aumock.

WIFE: Penny Lask of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 CHILDREN: Colleen Drinnon and her husband Brad of Nevada, Janine Pappas of  Florida, Dawn Budreau and her husband Andy, John Lask and Michael Lask all of Michigan.

2 STEP-CHILDREN: Matthew Arteaga and his wife Drea of Clayton, New Mexico and Elizabeth Nelson and her husband Mike of Ohio.

9 GRANDCHILDREN: Kate Boyce, Shannon Boyce, Austin Boyce, Loukas Pappas, Elizabeth Pappas, Carley Diminy, Cassidy Wyatt, Alli Lask and Lexi Lask.

4 STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Bridget Johnson, Ava Johnson, Teresa Nelson and Brittney Nelson.

1 BROTHER: Frank Lask of Michigan.

1 SISTER: Shirley Showler of Michigan.

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
