Joseph Alfred Vigil, age 54, died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Kenneth W. Tidmore, pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Joseph Vigil was born on December 29, 1964 in Clayton, New Mexico to Herman Rosendo Vigil and Barbara Esperanza (Trujillo) Vigil. A lifelong resident of Clayton, Joseph worked as a handy man for many years, he worked with his father doing construction work and was a very good carpenter. Joseph also did maintenance work for the Clayton Nursing Home and the Clayton Housing Authority for many years. Joseph was a very caring person and he was always willing to take in anybody that needed help. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and by 4 brothers; Lawrence Vigil, Rosendo Vigil, Earnest Vigil and John Louis Vigil, an uncle Steven Vigil and numerous more family members.

2 DAUGHTERS: Christina Sisneros and her husband David and Latasha Vigil and her fiancé Darwin Colorado all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Joseph Vigil, Jr. And his girlfriend Marisa Espino of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 STEP-DAUGHTER: Denise Trujillo of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 STEP-SON: Ricardo Trujillo and his fiancé Cheryl Garcia of Clayton, New Mexico.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Elijah Sisneros, Natalie Sisneros, Vicente Garcia, Ashlyn Garcia, Rosalie Diaz and Richard Jaramillo.

4 BROTHERS: Sam Archuleta of Amarillo, Texas and Michael Vigil, Floyd Vigil and David Vigil all of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS: Patsy Vigil and Gloria Vigil both of Clayton, New Mexico.

And numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
