Juan Gilbert Maestas, Jr. Age 52, died on Monday, January 8, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Terrell Jones, pastor officiating.

Juan Gilbert Maestas, Jr. was born on September 7, 1966 in Clayton, New Mexico to Juan G. Maestas, Sr. and Rosalie (Gonzales) Maestas. Juan graduated from Clayton High School in 1984 and moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1986 where he met and married Becky Doherty. They were married for twenty three years until her passing in 2009. Juan moved back to Clayton from Lubbock in 2012 and reconnected with his High School Sweetheart Elaine Sanchez. Juan and Elaine resided in Clayton until March of 2017 and lived in Portales until the time of his passing. Juan worked in retail for most of his life until he was unable to work due to epilepsy.

5 SISTERS: Mae Chavez of Amarillo, Texas, Paula Ballew of Clayton, New Mexico, Connie Resch and her husband Craig of Columbus, Ohio, Mary White and her husband John of Staples, Minnesota and Norma Maestas-Grapp and her husband Steve of London, Ohio.

HIS COMPANION: Elaine Sanchez of Portales, New Mexico.

1 niece and several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
