Memorial Services and Celebration of her life was held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Hass Funeral Home in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage, officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Juanita Guy (Perkins) Hill was born on September 30, 1936 in Clayton, New Mexico to Guy Freeman Perkins and Pearl Myrtle (Bushnell) Perkins. A life long resident of New Mexico, Juanita retired from the National Park Service in 1982 and moved from Capulin to Tucumcari where she maintained her permanent residence. She married Paul Hyer Hill of Capulin, New Mexico on July 23, 1954 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2004 at their home in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Juanita was very active in her community, a volunteer genealogist and a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, she held in servitude and representation several positions within her chapter. Certifically recognized for her compilations and documentations at both the State and National levels. Juanita was an accomplished musician and helped to establish and performed in the family band, "Uncle Roy and the Roadrunners" with members, Roy Green of Des Moines, and her family, Paul, Nita, Debbie and Chuck. Juanita maintained close contact and personal relationships with her Clayton High School graduates Class of 1954 and alumni. She will be missed by all who knew or were touched by her. In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by a half sister; Emma Dinkle of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

1 Daughter: Debra Lee Hill of Eugene, Oregon.
1 Son: Charles "Chuck" Freeman Hill & his wife Sharon of Lexington, OK.
5 Grandchildren: Kelly Ann Hill of Folsom, NM; Amber Lee Morris of Big Piney, Montana; Paul Michael Cox and Colin Glen Cox both of Carson City, Nevada and Devon Matthew Hill of Arizona.
1 Great-Granddaughter
1 Brother: Samuel "Sam" Perkins and his family of Raton, New Mexico.
