Obituary

Juanita A. (Goodyear) Plunkett Selders, age 94, died on Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Juanita A. (Goodyear) Plunkett Selders was born on October 15, 1921 in Gladstone, New Mexico to Clarence S. Goodyear and Janice L. (Parcels) Goodyear. Juanita worked at the Post Office in Gladstone for a few years, after moving to Clayton, she worked at Apache Tears for Marie Winters and later was the director at the Clayton Senior Citizens Center. Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Plunkett on December 2, 1970 and by her second husband Clay Hamilton "Hamp" McCook on May 8, 1987. Juanita married Billy C. Selders on June 13, 1991 in Raton, New Mexico. In addition to her parents and husbands, Juanita was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Loretta Aragon & Wanda Aragon, a sister; Pearline Crenshaw and 2 brothers; Harold Goodyear and Lawrence Goodyear.

SURVIVORS:

HUSBAND: Billy C. Selders of Clayton, New Mexico.

4 DAUGHTERS: Vernadell Stoneman and her husband Cleo of Dalhart, Texas, Cynthia Cripe and John of Kansas City, Missouri, Delinda Boque of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Yvonne Plunkett of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SONS: Arthur Plunkett, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas and Fred Selders and Cathy of Silver City, New Mexico.

18 GRANDCHILDREN: Angela, Bessie, Dwayne, Beverly, Lorraine, Isabell, Tanna, Troy, Karl, Travis, Melanie, Louisa, Candace, Justin, Jasmine, Brittani, Joe and Jared.

Several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

1 SISTER: Geneva Billingsley of Rogue River, Oregon.

1 BROTHER: Clarence Goodyear, Jr. of Hawthorne, Nevada.

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
