Julia Sinclair, age 83, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Hilario Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Julia E. Sinclair was born on October 15, 1940, in Paterson, New Jersey to Frederick Mackenzie Sinclair and Hester (Judge) Sinclair. She grew up in Paterson, New Jersey where she had many perfect attendance certificates in school. She later worked in several factories. In 1964, she came to Clayton by train with her parents to live closer to her sister Isabel and brothers Fred and Bill. She began working as a waitress for Red's Café and here she met LeDean Runcorn and they developed a special friendship, they were always going places such as movies, country concerts, playing bingo and going out for coffee. After Red's Café closed, she went to work for the Nu Way Café. She was preceded in death by parents, by 2 brothers, Fred Sinclair and Bill Sinclair, 1 sister, Isabel Williams, a brother-in-law, Calvin Williams, 1 sister-in-law, Jerry Sinclair, also a niece, Linda Gail Williams, a great-niece Geneva Coke and a nephew-in-law, Tim Simpson.

6 NIECES: Pam Simpson of Clayton, New Mexico, Debbie Palmer and her husband Randy of Easton, Kansas, Marie Vinduska and her husband Leon of La Junta, Colorado, Jerry Ann Montoya and her husband Paul of Springfield, Colorado, Lisa Sinclair of Yuma, Colorado and Tiffany Wiseman and her husband L.G. of Grenville, New Mexico.

3 NEPHEWS: Fred Sinclair and his wife Cynthia of Clayton, New Mexico, Carl Sinclair and his wife Kristi of Norman, Oklahoma and Billy Sinclair of Dalhart, Texas.

4 GREAT-NIECES: Krista Herrera and her husband Chris, Hana Vinduska and her husband Tim, Kristine Sinclair and Prailey Sinclair.

5 GREAT-NEPHEWS: T.J. Simpson, Trey Sinclair and his wife Heather, Anthony Fischer, Jason Fischer and his wife Kinzie and Trevor Sinclair.
