Kathryn F. (Hamm) Higgins, age 95, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Dalhart, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Central Time on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Texline Church of Christ in Texline, Texas with Mark Batteiger officiating. Burial followed in the Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Kathryn F. (Hamm) Higgins was born on November 10, 1917 in Vernon, Texas to Guy H. Hamm and Sammie (Ashley) Hamm. She married Noel Sidney Higgins on October 1, 1944 in Hereford, Texas and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2008. She was a member of the Texline Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Louise Hamm and Helen Wilson, 3 brothers-in-law, Garland Higgins, Howard Higgins and Clyde Higgins as a child, 2 sisters-in-law, Wilma Sheets and Hazel Higgins as a child and by 1 great-grandson Andrew Davison.

SURVIVORS:

2 SONS: Don Higgins and his wife Sylvia of Lubbock, Texas and David Higgins and his wife Danell of Texline, Texas.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Lisa Cherry and her husband John, and Dan Higgins and his wife Stacy all of Midland, Texas, Dane Higgins and his wife Valency of Lubbock, Texas, Joanna Davison and her husband John of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Dawson Higgins and his wife Jackie of Santa Rosa, New Mexico and Denton Higgins and his wife Kathryn of Clayton, New Mexico.
