Mabel Eulalia Cruz, age 69, passed away Friday November 12, 2021, at her home in Stinnett, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday November 19, 2021 at Hass Funeral Home in Clayton, New Mexico. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Mabel Eulalia (Romero) Cruz was born on June 6, 1952 in Clayton, New Mexico to Malaquias Macario "Max" Romero and Maria Placida (Serna) Romero. Mabel worked for many years as a cook in Clayton and then later worked for an outreach service in Stinnett, Texas where she cared for numerous elderly people around the Stinnett area for several years. Mabel loved all of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her father Max Romero on January 15, 2003 and by her mother Placida Romero on August 16, 2012.

SURVIVORS:

3 SONS: Ray Cruz of Borger, Texas, James Cruz and his wife Laura of Fritch, Texas and Justin Cruz and his wife Miriam of Stinnett, Texas.

2 BROTHERS: Jesse Romero and his wife Sylvia of Borger, Texas and Daniel Romero and his wife Marsha of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

11 GRANDCHILDREN: Jasmine Sanchez, Hannah Quintana, Hunter Cruz, Nautia Cruz, Nathan Cruz, Noah Cruz, Kameron Cruz, Kristian Cruz, Asher Cruz, Saheyla Cruz and Jax Cruz.

6 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Malakai, Luna, Braven, Atreus, Santiago and Antonio.

Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
