Marie Prudencia Padilla, age 84, died Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM celebrated by Fr. Joji Konkala. Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Marie Prudencia Padilla was born on December 31, 1940, in Mosquero, New Mexico to Reynaldo "Ray" George Padilla and Lucenita "Lucy" (Montoya) Padilla. She attended school in Clayton and Mosquero and graduated from Mosquero High School in 1959. Marie worked for a senior citizen's home caring for the elderly people and enjoyed helping them. She also enjoyed baking wedding cakes for weddings. Marie was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Amarillo. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, and she loved her Lord very much. Marie was preceded in death by her father Ray Padilla on October 16, 1996, her mother, Lucy Padilla on November 22, 2000, 2 sisters, Beatrice Aragon on October 16, 1996 and one as an infant, 5 brothers, Joe Montano on June 26, 2014, Joe Louis Padilla on July 26, 1989, Toby Padilla on February 6, 2021, by Adolpho Padilla and her twin brother that died at birth, Reynaldo Padilla, Jr.

SURVIVORS:

3 SONS: Orlando Vigil and his wife Michelle of Amarillo, Texas, Alvin Vigil and his wife Rocio of Mosquero, New Mexico and Patrick Vigil and his wife Kelly of Amarillo, Texas.

9 GRANDCHILDREN: Orlando Jr, Miranda, Misty, Amy, Carlos, Joseph, Joel, Cameron and Kaemon.

14 GREA_GRANDCHILDREN & 5 GREAT-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN

2: Sisters: Bertha Primm Padilla of Phoenix, Arizona and Corrine Trujillo and her husband Eddie of Brush, Colorado.

1 BROTHER: Floyd Padilla and his wife Maryann of Bushland, Texas.

2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Theresa Padilla of Brush, Colorado and Teresina Montano of Amarillo, Texas.

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
