Martin D. Licon, age 19, died on Monday, February 5, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Texline, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:00 AM with Fr. Ron Mathews as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Martin D. Licon was born on June 19, 2004, in Dalhart, Texas to Jose Luis Licon and Carmen Avila. He grew up in Texline, Texas and graduated from Texline High School in 2022. Martin enjoyed hanging out with his friends, sketching and playing video games. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Texline. Martin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lorenzo Avila, an aunt, Lorenza Avila Rios and an uncle, Lorenzo R. Avila.
