Mary Esquibel, age 93, died Friday, September 2, 2011 in Clayton, New Mexico.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Clayton Gospel Church with Mike Phipps, pastor officiating. Services were under the direction of Hass Funeral Home of Clayton.

Mary Esquibel was born on November 14, 1917 in Roy, New Mexico to Jose A. Griego and Carolina (Casaus) Griego. She married Onesimo Esquibel on June 3, 1959 in Roy, New Mexico. She lived in Roy, New Mexico most of her life until they moved to Clayton in 1995. Mary was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding and taking care of all of her family. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother; Manuel Griego, 2 sisters; Isabel Anderson and Bertha Havens and a son; Ricardo Alderette.

SURVIVORS:

HUSBAND: Onesimo Esquibel of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 DAUGHTERS: Carolyn Baca and her husband Gilbert and Nancy Valdez all of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Sharon Sandoval and her husband Carlos of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Eloy Alderette and his wife Irene of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

13 GRANDCHILDREN: Timothy Alderette, Anita Alderette and Perry Cordova, Carla Navarette and her husband Rick, Gilbert Baca and his wife Kathy, Edward Baca and his wife Ann, David Baca, Doreen Burbridge and her husband John, Cindy Crawford and her husband John, Richard Sandoval and his wife Anita, Shannon Sandoval and Carlos Ronquillo, Toby Esquibel, Monica Valdez and Marissa Valdez.

22 Great-Grandchildren: Chelsea Alderette, Megan Alderette, Angela Alderette, Jesse Alderette, Alexis Alderette, Gabriel Alderette, Sharla Alderette, Ray Alderette, Christopher Baca, Rachel Chase, Adam Baca, Brandon Baca, Jianna Baca, Daniel Burbridge, Jared Burbridge, Matthew Crawford, Robyn Sandoval, Kath Sandoval, Mercedes Sandoval, Anastasia Ronquillo, Carlos Christie and Adrianno Sandoval.
