It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of Mary Inez Sanford announce her death. Also known as Mary Inez (Sedillo) Sanford or Gloria Sanford. Mary "Gloria", age 77, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Gordon Pace, pastor of First Apostolic Church in Guymon, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Mary "Gloria" was born on March 13, 1946, in Colmor, New Mexico to Juan J. Sedillo and Beatrice (Perea) Sedillo, the sixth of seven children. She attended school in Springer, New Mexico and graduated in the class of 1964. On July 5, 1975 she married Wilbur V. Sanford in Raton, New Mexico. They were married for almost 48 years. She worked for the motor vehicle department in Raton, New Mexico when it was in the back of the El Portal Hotel and she held many other clerical and secretarial jobs and was a cashier at Alco for a short period. She was the bookkeeper for the family business known as Willy's Escort Services, where they were known to escort heavy loads and wide loads throughout Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. They lived in many different places such as New Mexico, Wyoming, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma. They also owned a motel and laundry mat. Mary assisted her husband pastoring a church in Clayton, New Mexico and she enjoyed serving others through prayer and ironing for them. Working with her laundry mat and meeting new people was something she enjoyed. People loved her everywhere she lived and worked. Mary was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Let it be known at this time, with the death of Mary "Glor" that the family of Juan J. And Beatrice P. Sedillo has now come to an end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan J. and Beatrice Sedillo, her brothers, Juan M. Sedillo, Bernave Sedillo and Richard Sedillo as an infant, her sisters, Madlene Lopez and spouse Ray, Loretta Trujillo and spouse Seferino and Mary Frances Shaw, father-in-law, Charles Clifton Sanford, mother-in-law, Daphna Murel Sanford, Sisters-in-law, Joyce Luetta Cantrell and Carolyn Sanford and brothers-in-law, Charles Sanford, Jr. and Burton Lee Sanford. and by many nieces and nephews. The family of Mary "Gloria" would like to thank all of the staff at Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma for their care and concern of Mary "Gloria" through her many stays at the hospital.

HUSBAND: Wilbur V. Sanford of Boise City, Oklahoma.
3 CHILDREN: Dale Sanford and his wife Debby of Allison, Texas, Charles Sanford of Roswell, New Mexico and Linda Batchelor and her husband Keith of Elk City, Oklahoma.
7 Grandchildren: Kelsi, Lillie, Trisha, William, Meagan, Tyler and Keith.
2 Great-Grandchildren.
1 BROTHER-IN-LAW; Jimmy Lee Shaw, Jr. of Springer, New Mexico.
2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Teresa Hodge and Glathea Allen.
2 Special nieces, Susan McDonald of Riverton, Wyoming and Bonnie Shaw of Raton, New Mexico and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many other brothers and sisters in Christ in her church family.
