Mary Rose Rodriguez, age 87, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosary was recited at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 28, and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 29 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico. Father Glenn Jones was the Celebrant. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Mary Rose (Sandoval) Rodriguez was born on August 30, 1923, in Raton, New Mexico to Dulcineo Sandoval and Antonita (Herrera) Sandoval. She married Juan Andres "Andy" Rodriguez, Jr. in March of 1947 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2008. Rose was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and worked as a cook and a nurses aide for several years at the nursing home in Clayton. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in Death by three daughters; Florence Raines in 1993 and Nancy Rodriguez and Barbara Rodriguez as infants, one son; Andrew Eugene "Gene" Rodriguez in 2004, one son-in-law; Pete Fernandez in 2009, three sisters, 2 brothers and three grandsons.

3 DAUGHTERS: Rosalie Maestas and her husband Juan, Loretta Mayhan and Mary Louise Fernandez all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Anselmo Gonzales and his wife Becky of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SONS-IN-LAW: Eddie Raines and Alex Aguilar both of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Mae Rodriguez of Denver, Colorado.

3 BROTHERS: Joe Sandoval of Riverside, California and Secundino Sandoval and Greg Sandoval both of Raton, New Mexico.
