Michael Alexander Romero, age 52, died on Friday August 2, 2024, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Michael Alexander Romero was born on June 11, 1972, in Perryton, Texas to Thomas Romero and Betty Jane (Gallegos) Romero. They moved to Clayton, New Mexico when he was young, and he attended school in Clayton where he excelled in athletics. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1991. Michael enjoyed doing masonry work and was employed as a mason for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister, Josephine Romero and by a nephew Thomas Edward "Bam Bam" Romero, Jr.

4 SISTERS: Mary Frances Hurtado and Barbara Romero both of Clayton, New Mexico, Ruby Ortiz and her husband Beto of Liberal, Kansas and Julia Bourg and her husband Chad of Houma, Louisiana.

6 BROTHERS: Thomas Romero and his wife Elizabeth and Gregory Romero all of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Paul Romero of Fritch, Texas, Richard Romero of Guymon, Oklahoma, Mark Gallegos of Clayton, New Mexico and Robert Gallegos of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
