Mildred Elizabeth (Winchester) Holland age 90, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 8th 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage, Pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Mildred Elizabeth (Winchester) Holland was born on February 20, 1921 in Murray, Kentucky to Joseph Willington Winchester and Verna Elizabeth (Roberts) Winchester. She graduated from high school in Murray, Kentucky and then later graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Mildred married Charles R. Holland on January 31, 1942 in Charleston, Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. She served in the U.S. Women's Army Corps during WWII and then started teaching in Calvert City, Kentucky in 1953 and retired in 1983 from the Clayton Public Schools. Mildred was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by 1 son; Russell J. Holland on February 25, 1969 in Vietnam, 1 sister; Edith F. Winchester on March 15, 2002 and by 2 brothers; P. A. Winchester and Joseph Winchester.

2 SONS: Robert Holland of Clayton, New Mexico and Don Holland and his wife Carol of Tulare, California.
9 GRANDCHILDREN: Travis Holland and his wife Sheila, Bradey Holland, Tyson Holland, Ginger Trujillo and her husband John and Symantha Holland and Clifford Hawk all of Clayton, New Mexico, Shannon Torres and her husband Jessie of Dalhart, Texas, Bobbie Jean Holland of Salina, Kansas, Christopher Holland of Amarillo, Texas and Steven Holland of Omaha, Nebraska.
