Minnie Lois Lambert, age 97, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Mountain Time on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Isai Ramirez officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Minnie Lois (Crist) Lambert was born on October 12, 1922 in Booker, Texas to C. C. Crist and Ruth (Cordell) Crist. Minnie Lois married R. E. Lambert, Jr. on February 14, 1943 in Boise City, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1983. Minnie Lois was employed by the Union County Rural School system in Clayton. She was the secretary to the superintendent for 14 years. The office was located in the Union County courthouse. She then was employed by the Union County hospital in the accounting department for several years before moving to Farmington, New Mexico where she resided for over 30 years. Minnie Lois was an adventurer and a special caring person. She took her family and family members on trips all over the United States when needed. Trips also included Mexico and Canada in the 1950's. She frequently provided transportation to Amarillo for individuals who could not get to Amarillo for doctor appointments. She was the family matriarch and dearly loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents, Minnie was preceded in death by 1 son; Richard Pruett Lambert, 4 sisters; Vivian Niemann, Pearl McDowell, Doris Malone and Naomi Andrews and a brother; Carl Crist.
SURVIVORS :
1 SON: Thomas Clair Lambert and his wife Sherry of Clayton, New Mexico.
4 GRANDCHILDREN: Thomas Lambert and his wife Brenda of Roland, Iowa, Melissa Fuhrman and her husband Steve of Nortonville, Kansas, Richard Lambert and his wife Debbie and Kenneth Lambert all of Farmington, New Mexico.
6 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Grant Fuhrman, Rex Fuhrman, Tyler Lambert, Cade Lambert, Ricci Dee McAlvain (Ty) and Zackary Lane Lambert.
1 GREAT-GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER: Jessii Jaymes McAlvain.
MEMORIALS : The family asks that memorials be made in Minnie Lois Lambert's memory to the Adventist Disaster Relief Association , 12501 Old Columbia Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904.
