Nathan George Biffle of Logan NM and formally of Clayton NM, passed away on Wednesday July 4 ^th at Autumn Blessings at the age of 81.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Thursday July 12 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Logan, New Mexico.

Nathan was born on July 25 ^th , 1936 to Enoch and Gladys Stonebrink Biffle. He grew up on the Biffle Ranch in Sofia, NM. "Nate" graduated from Clayton High School in 1954. He attended NMSU before returning to Sofia to run the family ranch. In addition to ranching, Nathan was an accomplished welder and carpenter. He was later the mail carrier for a rural route in San Jon. Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads. One of his favorite hobbies was preserving jams and jellies of all kinds. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Grace Biffle Foster.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Zerelda, of 26 years. He will be sadly missed by his children. They include Natalie Biffle Hefner and husband Terry of Taylorsville, NC and Rebecca Daun Biffle and husband Roy Moolhuysen of Tucumcari, NM; Step children JC Mayfield and wife Paula of Warner Springs, CA and Deborah Mayfield Cody of Taylorsville, NC. He is also survived by his sisters Cynthia Biffle May of Fruita, CO and Betty Biffle Levesque of Castle Rock, CO; His grandchildren include Caitlin Hefner Davis and husband Trevor of Raleigh, NC and Nathan Gage Hefner and fiancée Breeanna of Taylorsville, NC and Amber Nicole Rivera of Tucumcari, NM; His step grandchildren include Jay Mayfield of Sandpoint, Idaho and Casey Mayfield, his wife Megan, and their children of Idaho; His great grandson Samuel Blake Hefner of Taylorsville, NC; Many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
