Nona Gaye Boyd, age 92, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Keenan Roberts and Larry Boyd officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors, Clayton, New Mexico.

Nona Gaye Boyd was born on November 9, 1919 in Magdalena, New Mexico to Valentine Dee Leaevitt and Ada Estelle (Estes) Leavitt. She married Loyd A. Boyd on December 25, 1939 in Portales, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2009. Mrs. Boyd taught 4th grade in Clayton, New Mexico for many years and was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church in Clayton. In addition to her husband and parents, Nona Gaye was preceded in death by a sister; Nita Mae Porter of Clovis, New Mexico and Jay Leavitt of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SONS: H. C. Boyd and his wife Sarah of Thornton, Colorado and Larry Boyd and his wife Sharlott of Lubbock, Texas.

1 SISTER: Ada Fay Bossier of Flagstaff, Arizona.

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Lucrecia Boyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shayla Boyd of Lubbock, Texas, Jody Boyd and his wife Jennifer of Keller, Texas, Jason Boyd and his wife Becki of Rupert, Idaho, Justin Boyd and David Boyd and his wife Jheri all of Dallas, Texas.

9 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Carter Boyd, Dylan Boyd, Lindsey Boyd, Cooper Boyd, Savanna Boyd, Josie Lynn Boyd, Harper Emma Boyd, Lorilei Boyd and Alaysha Jones.
