Raymond David Vera, age 90, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary was recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 24 and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 25, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Glenn Jones, Celebrant. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Raymond David Vera was born on January 16, 1922 in Obar, New Mexico to Juan and Aurelia Vera. Raymond worked for the Rock Island Railroad for most of his life on the East-West Route. He was a lifelong resident of Dalhart, Texas moving to Clayton, New Mexico about a year ago to live with his daughter Dorothy. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma Vera, his second wife, Trini Vera, by 2 sons; Philip Vera and Raymond David Vera, Jr. And a grandson David Brian Chavez

6 DAUGHTERS: Dorothy DeHerrera and her husband Louis of Clayton, New Mexico, Lucy Chavez and her husband Albert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Della Vera and Debbie Vera both of Lubbock, Texas, Toni Pirelli and her husband Sam and Esther Rosario and her husband Salvador all of Amarillo, Texas.

1 SISTER: Ruby Lucero and her daughter Geraldine Vasquez of San Antonio, Texas.
