Reba Rae Boyd, age 67, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Prescott, Arizona.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2001 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton with Rev. Jay Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.

Reba Rae Boyd was born June 16, 1943, to Eloise Dellinger and Cecil T. Dellinger in Clayton, New Mexico. She graduated from Clayton High School in 1962. She was a resident of Dalhart, Texas; Portales, New Mexico; Floyd, New Mexico as well as Burlington, Washington where she welcomed the birth of her son, Craig Allen Boyd. Throughout her travels, she remained a loyal supporter of Union County where she returned in 1980 to raise her son among family and friends. Her strong sense of community and citizenship led to employment at the Union County Courthouse where she served as Union County Treasurer until her retirement in 2008. Reba Rae gave back to the people whom she cherished through her public service and commitment. Upon retiring Reba "Milo" moved to Prescott, Arizona to enjoy her family: Craig Allen Boyd, Melissa Ann Boyd, Samantha Lindsey Boyd and Dellinger "Dellin" Thomas Boyd. She watched the sun rise and set from the porch of her home overseeing the family property. A beautiful rose garden welcomed butterflies and hummingbirds. Just across the path, over at Milo's house, as it had always been, there was always good food, good company and good conversation. Everyone was welcome on her porch! During her many years in Union County, Reba was active in her community, a dancer, a gardener, a cherished friend and was active in several local organizations. She will long be remembered for her smile, sense of humor, recipes and loyalty. Reba was preceded in death by her parents Cecil T. Dellinger in 1983 and her mother, Eloise Dellinger in 2008.

The families of James Donavon Dellinger, of Amarillo, Texas; Kenneth Earl Dellinger, of Clayton, New Mexico and Waunell Janice Dellinger of Lubbock, Texas; along with many other family and friends stretching from Washington State to Texas.
