Rex Mangelsdorf, age 88, died Monday, February 6, 2017 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Memorial services have been changed.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Clayton Air Park with Rev. Kenneth W. Tidmore, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, officiating. Services are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Rex Mangelsdorf was born on March 25, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to Walter Mangelsdorf and Harriet (Brown) Mangelsdorf. He joined the Navy before he graduated from high school and he received his high school diploma later after returning from his service. Rex married Jeanette (Monroe) Mangelsdorf on June 9, 1951 in Clayton, New Mexico. He farmed and ranched and owned a boot shop in Clayton from 1973 until 1978 when he sold it and opened a boot shop in Dalhart, Texas that he operated for 25 years before he retired. Rex was preceded in death by his parents.

1 DAUGHTER: Shelley Mangelsdorf of Amarillo, Texas.
3 SONS: Larry Mangelsdorf of Benson, Arizona, Randy Mangelsdorf of Clayton, New Mexico and Keith Mangelsdorf of Brownwood, Texas.
10 Grandchildren: Martin Mangelsdorf, Danelle Mangelsdorf, Tracy Martinez, Dustin Mangelsdorf, Dee Mangelsdorf, Randi Jo Snell, Kansuz Mangelsdorf, Shane Mangelsdorf, Chance Field and Taos Field.
11 Great-Grandchildren
